Watermelon Eating Contest
16-year-old Christi Rheinboldt of Lockhart, TX devours a watermelon during the watermelon eating contest in the annual Watermelon Thump in Luling, TX. Rheinboldt was the winner of the 15yrs and over category. First prize is $15, a plaque and bragging rights. On the right is second place finisher Bob Poulos of Forney, TX. This is the 8th year in a row Rheinboldt has won the contest.
